Istanbul Governor Muammer Güler announced that the explosives that injured three people in Üsküdar were handmade and fired with a “simple mechanism” similar to a mortar.
Güler said that the explosives were fired from Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar, one of the explosives hitting the garbage trucks in front of the Üsküdar municipality and the other one not even leaving the cemetery.
Koçman: I do not want to make such an evaluation
Commander of the First Army İsmail Koçman did not want to answer the question if the target was the First Army.
Koçman said no explosives hit the First Army facilities, but some of the fragments of the explosive that hit municipality’s garbage trucks also hit Selimiye Petty Officer’s Club. (TK/TB)
