The US has imposed sanctions on a company from Turkey for supporting Iran's missile program as part of the Iran, North Korea, and Syria Nonproliferation Act (INKSNA).
The US Department of State said in a statement that it imposed two-year discretionary sanctions on 13 entities and individuals from China, Iran, Iraq, Russia and Turkey for violating the act.
The list includes five entities and individuals from China and Eren Carbon Graphite Industrial Trading Company from Turkey.
The sanctions were "the result of a periodic review of sanctionable activity" and include restrictions on US government procurement, US government assistance, and exports, according to the statement.
"The imposition of these measures underscores that Iran's missile program remains a significant proliferation concern. The imposition of sanctions against these foreign entities is consistent with our efforts to use all available measures to prevent Iran from advancing its missile capabilities," the statement further said.
