Two people who were detained yesterday (May 5) in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) headquarters in Ankara have been released.
One of them, lawyer Yunus Emre Şahan, was hospitalized due to a head trauma caused by police violence. He was released after his treatment was completed.
Mehmet Said Sırdaş, a distributor of the Yeni Yaşam newspaper, was released at the hospital after giving a statement at the Security Directorate.
Yesterday, three people from "the Diyarbakır families" wanted to leave a black wreath in front of the HDP headquarters in what the party called "provocation."
Tensions further rose after the intervention of the police, with a police officer threatening HDP Deputy Ayşe Acar-Başaran to shoot her. Eight people were detained during the incidents. (RT/VK)
