The teams of Kadıköy District Security Directorate have detained two suspects who allegedly punched opera singer and BirGün newspaper's columnist Güvenç Dağüstün in Özgürlük Park in İstanbul's Kadıköy.
While the related procedures of the two suspects are still ongoing at the security directorate, the teams are working to catch other suspects.
What happened?
After giving a concert at the Kadıköy Özgürlük (Freedom) Park in İstanbul on the occasion of August 30 Victory Day, opera singer and BirGün newspaper's columnist Güvenç Dağüstün was subjected to the physical assault of two unidentified persons. Having bruises on his face, arm and leg following the attack, Dağüstün was hospitalized and was reportedly in good health.
Dağüstün filed a criminal complaint against the assaulters. (HA/SD)
