A bus carrying refugees toppled in the Gürün district of the Central Anatolican province of Sivas.
The bus driver lost control of the bus at the Mazıkıran location of the Malatya-Kayseri highway. Two died and 30 were injured in the accident according to the first reports.
M.H. and A.M. from Syria lost their lives at the site of the accident. Driver Yücel Y., second driver Atar Y. (41) and 30 people including 3 gendarmes were hospitalized.
Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek visited the hospital where the injured are receiving treatment.
Şimşek said, "The bus carrying migrants from Syria from İstanbul to Diyarbakır ran out of the road and had an accident. There were 45 people on the bus, 38 from Syria, 2 drivers and 5 gendarmes.
"Unfortunately, two from Syria lost their lives at the site of the accident. There are a total of 30 people injured. There is a judicial investigation. The rain and greasiness of the road may have caused the accident." (HA/PE/VK)
