The number of unemployed people -aged 15 years old and over- increased by 153 thousand in March compared to February and became 3 million 895 thousand according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The unemployment rate increased by 0,4 percentage points and became 11,5 percent. It was estimated at 10,3 percent for men, and 13,9 percent for women.
The broad unemployment rate increased by 0,6 percentage points and became 22,7, according to TurkStat.

Employment rate
The number of employed persons decreased by 59 thousand this month compared to the previous month and became 29 million 956 thousand. The employment rate, on the other hand, decreased by 0.2 points to 46.5 percent.
This ratio became 64,4 in men and 29 in women.
The labor force participation rate
The labor force participation rate increased by 0,1 percentage point and became 52,6 percent in March.
The labor force participation rate became 71,9 in men and 33,7 in women.
Youth Unemployment rate
The official TurkStat data have said that the youth unemployment rate for the 15-24 age group increased by 0,5 points and became 21,2 percent.
The unemployment rate in this age group was estimated as 19,1 percent for men and 25,2 percent for women.
Average working time per week
According to TurkStat data, average working time per week decreased by 0,5 hours in March and became 44,9 hours.(HA/TB)
