Turkey's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 11.4 percent in January, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The number of unemployed persons among those aged over 15 increased by 21,000 in a month to 3,85 million, or by 0.2 percentage points, according to the official statistics.
The unemployment rate was 10.3 percent among men and 13.6 percent among women.
The number of employed persons dropped by 43,000 from January to 29.91 million.
The employment rate decreased by 0.2 points to 46.5 percent. It was 63.8 percent among men and 29.7 percent among women.

Labor force participation
The country's labor force was 33.76 million in January, dropping by 22,000 in a month.
The labor force participation rate decreased by 0.1 points to 52.6 percent. It was 71.1 percent among men and 34.4 percent among women.
Youth unemployment
The unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group did not change compared to the previous month and was 21.6 percent in January.
The unemployment rate was 18.4 percent among young men and 27.6 percent among young women.
Working times
The seasonally adjusted average working time per week increased by 0.2 hours to 45.3 hours in January.
Broad unemployment
The broad unemployment rate, or the idle labor force rate as termed by TurkStat, which includes time-related underemployment, potential labor force and the unemployed, increased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month and was 22.9 percent in January. (HA/VK)
