Turkish Airlines (THY) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bilal Ekşi has shared a brief message on Twitter and announced that THY flights to New York have been cancelled amid novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
"The last update: As of March 27, 2020 at 23.59 local time in Turkey till April 17, 2020, only limited international flights will continue. You can follow the latest status of these flights on the link below. Accordingly, the flights to New York have been cancelled", Ekşi has announced on Twitter:

As of March 27, the THY will only fly to Washington (US), Chicago (US), Hong Kong, Moscow (Russia) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia).
Number of cases in the US has exceeded China
According to the data shared by Johns Hopkins University, the number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 around the world is over half a million.
With 82,179 confirmed cases, the US has exceeded both China, where the virus originated, and Italy, the European country affected by the virus most.
In the US, the highest death toll from coronavirus has been recorded in New York. While 100 people lost their lives in a day in New York, bringing the death toll to 385, there are 37 thousand 258 confirmed cases so far.
