Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met the UN Secretary-General during the 78th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The minister and the UN chief addressed recent developments in Ukraine, the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Syria and the Cyprus issue, the Foreign Ministry said in a written statement.
According to a statement from the UN Spokesperson's Office, Secretary-General Guterres expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation between Turkey and the United Nations, highlighting Turkey's efforts regarding the global implications of the conflict in Ukraine, including its participation in the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
