Twenty-five people died of Covid-19 and 57,113 new cases were found between June 27 and July 3, according to the Ministry of Health's weekly Covid table. Over 30,000 people recovered from the disease in a week.
The figures indicate a sharp surge in new infections as the ministry reported 26,635 cases in the previous week and 10,954 cases in the week before.
Some 15.1 million coronavirus cases have been recorded in Turkey since the first positive case was detected on March 11, 2020. The country's official death toll stands at 99,057.
Nearly 148 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered since Turkey started a mass vaccination campaign in early 2021.
