Turkey's death toll from the novel coronavirus pandemic has climbed to 4,431 with 34 deaths over the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry figures.
The ministry has registered 1,035 cases in a day, bringing the tally to 159,797. The number of daily new cases have been around 1,000 over the past week, down from around 4,000 in mid-April, the peak period of the outbreak.
"Data shows dhat we have been consistently reducing the risk. The success of 83 million [people] must continue. More freedom depends on fully adopting the measures. Our new way of life: controlled social life," Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a tweet.

The pandemic has claimed more than 5.6 million people and 350,000 lives in 188 countries and regions since originating in China last December. The US, Europe and Russia are currently the world's worst-hit regions. As many as 2.3 million people have recovered so far, according to figures compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University.
The pandemic has also forced more than 180 countries to enforce harsh restrictions to stop the spread of the virus, which has led to the unemployment of millions of people as local and regional businesses have shut down over coronavirus fears.
Over the past few weeks, numerous countries have begun to ease measures and reopening their economies.
