Turkey reports less than 900 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

The Ministry of Health reported 864 new coronavirus cases and 2 deaths yesterday (May 29). The country's death toll stands at 98,955 with a total of 15.1 million cases.

Some 129,961 people were tested for the virus and 1,107 people recovered from the disease in 24 hours.

Over 85 percent of the country's adult population have received at least two doses of the coronavirus vaccine with 27.7 million people receiving at least three jabs, according to the ministry figures.

After a significant decrease in the number of daily new Covid-19 cases and deaths, the government on April 26 lifted the indoor mask mandate except for public transport vehicles and health institutions. (VK)
