The 13th Civil Chamber of the İstanbul Regional Court of Justice (the court of appeals) handed down its verdict on December 24, 2020 and reversed the ban imposed on Uber's activities and access to its website by the İstanbul 10th Commercial Court of First Instance.
The court of appeals agreed with the local court verdict concluding that Uber's service with XL vehicles caused unfair competition and ruled that this service should be provided only by taxis. (HA/SD)
