Military and defense industry cooperation signed between Turkey and Qatar became valid by being published in official gazette.
According to the cooperation, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) may keep military unit in Qatar.
Same conditions will be valid for Qatar.
Cooperation gives right to the parties for mutual training and operation and to benefit from mutual military establishment, unit and camp, besides military airfield.
Cooperation is valid for ten years and states that both parties may assign consultant personnel to each other’s military establishment.
In case of dispute…
Agreement includes these statements in case of dispute:
“In case of dispute, the dispute shall be settled with consultation and negotiation.”
"A local or international court or a third part shall not be consulted.”
It’s stated in the agreement that negotiation period is 60 days for the dispute to be settled. In case the dispute may not be settled, the agreement may be terminated with written notification. (YY/BD)
