'Winds blowing from the south brought hot weather'
Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Toros from İstanbul Technical University (İTÜ) Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Department of Meteorological Engineering has indicated that we experienced a warm year in 2019 and said:
"This November, Turkey was affected by a high pressure system. As a result of high pressure, the weather was warm, which did not bring cold weather or precipitation. In the meantime, Turkey predominantly received southern winds, which caused the hot weather of deserts to come to Turkey.
"There was also desert sand in November. Winds blowing from the south brought along hot weather and Turkey experienced a November hotter than seasonal normals". (AÖ/SD)
