Fighting between various groups that has been going on for hundreds of years. USA should never have been in Middle East. Moved our 50 soldiers out. Turkey MUST take over captured ISIS fighters that Europe refused to have returned. The stupid endless wars, for us, are ending! https://t.co/Fbcem9i55Z

There are about 12 thousand ISIS fighters according to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the main U.S. ally in the fight against ISIS.
The SDF controls more than a third of Syrian soil, including the area where Turkey's military operation will take place.
US soldiers began to withdraw from their posts on Monday after a phone call between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Trump. The US President tweeted that he would "obliterate" Turkey's economy if it does anything he considers "off-limits." (AÖ/VK)
