"I am a former sex worker. We, transgenders, have great difficulties finding jobs. I have been actively working in the CHP since 2015. I was telling both my friends at the party and friends around me that I didn't want to do sex work again," she said on social media.
"Another first in Turkey. For the first time in the history of the CHP, a trans woman has become a delegate at the İstanbul Provincial Women's Branch. Long live our struggle!" she said in another message after yesterday's election. (EK/EMK/VK)
