Three German Journalists Released in Diyarbakır
Björn Kietzmann, Chris Grodotzski and Ruben Neugebauer, three German journalists who have detained by anti-terror police last night in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır for commanding protestors, have been released this morning after being transferred to Foreigners Bureau of Police Department.
However, journalists were required to a prosecutor along with their lawyers.
Advocate Suzan Erik told bianet that journalist will attempt to retain their news equipment confiscated during detention.
Minister Eker’s claims
On the other hand, Agriculture Minister Mehdi Eker made a statement in a TV program, claiming that 5 individuals from Germany were detained while “trying to cover when letting children burn tires”. (EÖ/BM)
