President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan slammed the European Union for criticizing December 14 Operations during his speech on the opening of TÜPRAŞ facilities.
Erdoğan briefly said the following:
“This is a democratic country”
“We will not come to terms with those who still try to draw a path for Turkey with false news and headlines. We will not kneel before them. It is not important whether me and my friends are here or not. This is a democratic country. We come up with elections. If the nation decides, we will go by elections.
“The nation will always embrace New Turkey’s achievements, regardless of us. Bad people should see that they will not succeed with their dirty games and they should stop now.”
“There are nice developments”
“Dear friends, please do not take lies into account. Do not pity those who are provoked and behaving erratically. Thank God, there are nice developments in Turkey and there will be more.”
“All of what is happening now is part of the normalization process. All of what is happening now is the seeds to grow for New Turkey. Those who are involved in dirty affairs in hopes of bringing the old days of Turkey, they get served right and they will.”
“The set-up of international circles”
“I hope to God, that the press world will be rid of its dirty affairs and save itself from the danger.”
“This nation will not be deceived by the blackmails, threats or other set-ups planned for us. I want to remind that, those who love their country should take a strong stand against these dirty affairs.”
“Pawns, parallel structures”
“As I always say, those who sit on the fence are sure to fall. This is why we have to choose our side carefully. Our stance is very important, we need not stagger but we need steadiness. If we are steady, the nation will then win. When nation wins, Turkey wins.”
“Those who do not take sides regarding the independence of the country are bound to vanish. Those who aid pawns, parallel structures are also bound to vanish, sooner or later.”
“With all my heart, I truly believe that people of the economy, politics ve press will take sides without hesitation.”
“EU should keep its mind to itself”
“Hereby, there are intolerable behaviors seen by independent prosecutors who carry out the operation on the inside and outside.”
“All the actors and sides of Old Turkey, all together, try to apply pressure on our prosecutors and judges.”
“Can you imagine, when certain steps are taken, a statement comes from EU. According to what do you make this statement? What do you know? Those who kept this country waiting for EU for 50 years, do you even know what these steps are?”
“Factors that threaten our national security be it press members or this or that, they will get what they deserve. They cannot possibly be sovereign over us.”
“Wonder what will EU say, if EU will accept us, we have no such worries, please keep your mind to yourself.”
“I have to say this, if EU is truly honest, can you answer for Fehriye Erdal being brought door to door, who also murdered the brother of Sabancı Group?”
“7 of our nationals were killed in Europe, no press member is involved in legal action and neither is TRT. Yet no trace. They were burned alive, torched to death and seven people died. Still no trace for the assailants. Answer for this. I speak to the head of one country. I give the files. They say that there are 4,000 lawsuits filed against terrorism. But the result? Nothing.”
“I am talking about Germany”
“Most powerful country in Europe. I am talking about Germany. So why does such a country receive files about PKK but gives nothing in return? However, you do want to start an operation to my country.”
“I am sorry, but the EU should not look for the authority to legally intervene when the matter is threats to our national security, please keep it to yourself.”
“They are paying for it and they will keep paying”
“Everybody has to know this, we will not allow our judges and prosecutors be intimidated. Every step will be taken for law. Everything that operates will be under law. I hope to God, motions will be set in the frame of democratic laws and conscience. A legal system which is being normalized will not allow innocent to be prosecuted.”
“The days are over when the guilty got away with it. They clearly tell it, they were the ones who accused a blind man of being the head of the operation and kept him for 17 years. They are paying the price of this process and they will keep paying.”
“There were 7 journalists in jail”
“They will shout, maybe cry. They too will certify their betrayals, leaving their loved ones behind in south. They say it is the freedom of the press, it is irrelevant.”
“They come to us from time to time. They come from international platforms. They said that there are journalists inside, they put out numbers. Do you know how many? Only seven. I have presented every evidence showing them from possessing a gun to killing a guard.
“So, what do you say now? Quite interesting, because they now want lawsuits filed again. There is no Old Turkey anymore, only New Turkey.”
“The resolution process rows stronger”
