İstanbul Governorship in its statement announced by 1 p.m. that 41 people have lost their lives, 239 wounded of whom 109 have been discharged in the suicide attack launched at Atatürk Airport International Terminal yesterday at around 10 p.m. Three suicide attackers also lost their lives in the attack.
Treatment for 130 wounded is continuing so far.
The three suicide bombers detonated the bombs on their bodies after firing around, the government authorities stated.
37 of the 41 killed in the bomb attack that took place at the Atatürk Airport have been identified, 19 bodies have been delivered to their families, read the statement.

The security officer shooting the attacker died
Customshouse Guard Umut Sakaroğlu who shot and stopped the attacker trying to enter through the check-point with long-barreled weapon following the first explosion, was heavily wounded by the attacker’s detonating the bomb on him. Sakaroğlu lost his life on scene.
In the last year 229 people, in the last three years 281 people lost their lives in the attacks launched against civilians. Eight attackers died in these 11 offensives. (AS/TK)
