Vice Prime Minister, Governmental Spokesperson Numan Kurtulmuş has made evaluations to state-run Anadolu Agency (AA) concerning the agenda.
“These terror groups will come to a point at which they will be silenced after yes votes come out in a large margin in the [constitutional amendment] referendum”, Kurtulmuş said as to the discussions on the Constitutional amendment and referendum.
Referendum campaign
“We will presumably run a campaign which will be based on the governing idea that this is not a change of regime but system and that Turkey attaining an effective governing model is one of the most important matters for Turkey.
“A campaign will be run with the idea that a governing model that can take decisions more rapidly will be able to overcome terrorism more easily”.
Assassinations, bomb attacks
In response to a question that “What do you think about the allegations that ‘There will be political assassinations and a chaos atmosphere will be created in society’?”, Kurtulmuş responded:
“Assassinations, suicide bombs, etc., these might continue. Why are the terror groups in such a close strategic collaboration? They want to bring Turkey to its knees.
“We are taking all sorts of measures against that. These terror groups will come to a point at which they will be silenced after yes votes come out in a large margin in the [constitutional amendment] referendum, and they will lose their motivation”. (AS/TK)
