The Peace Foundation has released its report on the role of NGOs on the Kurdish question during the resolution process.
The report entitled “NGOs at the 2013-2015 Resolution Process” whose preparations started in May 2017 was prepared by Cuma Çiçek.
Alev Erkilet, Bekir Ağırdır and Etyen Mahçupyan contributed as consultant in the report whose field study was carried out by Reha Ruhavioğlu and Veysi Altıntaş.
You can find the positions and analyses of the NGOs’ studies and works with respect to maintaining peace.
During the study, meetings were held with 11 NGO representatives in Ankara; 10 in İstanbul; 13 in Diyarbakır; 11 in Van, and one expert in Diyarbakır and two experts in İstanbul working on NGOs, amounting to 48 people.
Layers of negotiation process are dealt with in the second chapter of the report that starts with a theoretical framework of maintaining peace. Later on, a general evaluation of conflict resolution and NGOs in Turkey, and a broad analyses of NGOs conducting studies during 2013-2015 take place in the report.
In the conclusion chapter, suggestions for opportunities for negotiation and consensus in the Kurdish question and role of NGOs in resolution and consensus take place.
The report was released in Turkish, Kurdish and English.
