Translated into over 450 languages and dialects across the world, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's world-renowned book "The Little Prince" is now also available as an audiobook in Laz, Adyghe (Circassian) and Kurdish (Kurmanji) languages as part of a project.
"The Little Prince in Anatolian Languages" project of the Sivil Düşün (SD) and Ankara University Faculty of Communication now offers the audiobook to its audience free of charge on several platforms.
Aiming to keep the languages spoken in the Anatolian geography alive, the project has started with three languages.
Project coordinator Melek Özlem Durmaz has also translated the book into Laz language, which is considered to be a World Cultural Heritage in the category of "World Languages in Danger" by the UNESCO.
Durmaz says that they want to continue with the languages that are spoken in Anatolian and the Little Prince has been translated into.
The audio recordings, sound editing, video editing and graphic design of the project were done by the Radio Unit and Ad Workshop students.
