The “Temporary Special Security Zone” was declared in Dersim’s provincial centre and in the regions of Ovacık, Nazımiye, Hozat, and will last from September 1-15. The Tunceli Governorate also requested that there be no stopping or picnics along several parts of the Pülümür-Erzincan highway.
The governorate made the following statement.
“Due to the operations launched as part of the fight against terror, with respect to ensuring the public’s physical and material security, a Special Security Zone has been declared between the dates of September 1-15, 2016 in the following areas – Tunceli Province, the centre of Tunceli, and 31 separate areas within the regional borders of Ovacık and Nazımiye”.
