As reported by Doğan News Agency (DHA), on March 30, the 12-year-old male student E.K. came to Gökçeada Secondary School in the district of Gökçeada in Çanakkale and lined up with other students at the entrance to the school. The English teacher of the school G.U. allegedly called E.K., tied his hair up and put a hairpin on his hair in front of his friends, which was also witnessed by his mother.
Being informed about the incident, the father O.K. came to school and talked to the English teacher. The father recounted that the teacher G.U. defended himself by saying, "We were joking around, we were having fun. There was no bad intention" and that the school management treated him badly, which he reciprocated with insults and an apology for his insulting remarks. However, the school management has filed a criminal complaint against the father. (ŞA/SD)
