Fugitive suspect of the lawsuit concerning the bomb attack launched in Reyhanlı with a bomb-laden vehicle in Hatay, Yusuf Nazik has been taken into custody.
State-run Anadolu Agency reported, “Nazik has been captured with an operation carried out by National Intelligence Agency in Syria’s province of Lattakia”.
The attack launched on May 11, 2013 claimed lives of 52 people and injured 155 others in Reyhanlı, Hatay. The main trial in which 33 suspects were tried concluded on February 23, 2018. Ankara 9th Heavy Penal Court sentenced nine defendants to 53 times of aggravated lifetime imprisonment and 4 thousand 32 years in jail each.
Files of eight fugitive defendants including Mihraç Ural were separated. One of those defendants is today (September 12) in custody. (AS/TK)
