Özer Sencar, the Chair of Metropoll Research company, has shared the results of the company's field research in August 2020.
Sharing a brief message and a graph on his social media account, Sencar has indicated that when they were asked how their and their families' means of livelihood or wealth level changed over the past year, 63.4 percent of survey participants said that their means changed for the worse.
While 9 percent said that their means "improved" in this one-year period, 27.4 percent indicated that there occurred no changes for the better or worse. 0.3 percent said that they had no idea.
When considered in terms of participants' party affiliations, the rates of those who said that their means of livelihood worsened were as follows:
Ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP): 46.2 percent (16 percent said that their means of livelihood or wealth level improved.)
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP): 81.4 percent (1.6 percent reported improvement in their means of livelihood.)
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP): 81 percent (3.1 percent of HDP voters said that their conditions improved in the last year.)
İYİ Party: 76.6 percent (2.2 percent reported improvement.)
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP): 55.5 percent (7.1 percent of MHP voters said that their means of livelihood changed for the better.)
Felicity Party (SP): 77.8 percent
Others: 80 percent
