Can Selçuki, the Director of Turkey Report, has shared the March 2022 survey results on social media.
According to the survey results, 59 percent of the participants say that their income does not cover their expenses.
When the participants were asked, "Which of the following about last month do you agree with," 59 percent said, "My income did not cover my expenses". While 27 percent indicated that "their income hardly covered their expenses" in March, only 7 percent said, "My income topped my expenses". 6 percent indicated that "their income pretty much met their expenses".
When considered in terms of affiliations with political parties, while 40.7 percent of the voters of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) said that their income did not cover their expenses, this rate was 73.4 percent for the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP). On the top of the list of those who said that their income did not cover their expenses were the voters of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) with 88.4 percent.
42.4 percent of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) voters and 60.8 percent of the opposition İYİ Party voters also indicated that their income fell short of meeting their expenses. (RT/SD)
