Özer Sancar, the owner of MetroPoll Research company, has shared the results of "Turkey's Pulse September 2021" survey on social media.
The survey results have shown that almost half of the respondents do not believe that President and ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be able to win the Presidential election in Turkey, which is scheduled for 2023 for the time being.
When the company asked the respondents, "If we had Presidential election this Sunday and Erdoğan ran for President again, do you think that he would be able to win the election," 16.4 percent answered, "He would definitely win" and 12.3 percent said, "He would definitely not."
While 27.6 percent said that Erdoğan would win the election, 37.5 percent said that he would not be able to do so.
When the respondents who said "He would definitely not win" and "He would not win" are taken together, it is seen that the total rate of those who do not believe that current President of Turkey Erdoğan will be unable to win the Presidential election accounts for 49.8 percent.
In August 2020, the rate of those who expressed their belief for Erdoğan's reelection was 55.4 percent.
NOTE: In the last Presidential election in Turkey on June 24, 2018, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was elected the President by receiving 52.59 percent of the votes. As he received half of the votes, the election was finalized with a single round of election.
