An explosion has occurred by the gate of the Grand Mosque in Bursa province.
The Governorship has announced that the explosion that occurred at 5:26 p.m. was a suicide attack.
Minister of Health, Mehmet Müezzinoğlu in his statement to the journalists has expressed that the attacker was a woman aged at around 25 and that the 13 wounded in the attack have been taken under treatment.
"None of the 13 wounded are in critical condition. I wish them a quick recovery", stated the minister
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has gathered with Minister of Interior, Efkan Ala at the Justice and Development Party (AKP) Headquarters.
The Governorship: A suicide attack
The following statement has been made by Bursa Governorship:
"An explosion took place by the West Gate of the Grand Mosque in Osmangazi district of Bursa at 5:26 p.m. A lady considered to be a suicide bomber exploded herself with a device on her body. According to initial findings, seven of our citizens have been injured and taken into the closest medical institutions. Our security units are carrying on their investigations into the incident".
