Street names in Kadıköy district of İstanbul were replaced by the names of children who have lost their lives during clashes in a month.
A demonstration was held in İstanbul before the International Day of Peace, and reminded people who lived in non-war zones that children died in the clashes.
Street signs were named after the children who lost their lives in Diyarbakır, Şırnak provinces, in southeastern turkey and İstanbul during police operations and clashes.
The demonstration refers to Peace Week in September.
In a month; on July 26, Beytullah Aydın (11), on July 27, Hasan Nerse (17), on August 7, Mehmet Hıdır Tanboğa (15), on August 12, Muhammet Aydemir (14) and Orhan Aslan (16), on August 18, Fırat Elma (16), on August 27, Baran Çağlı (7), Emin Yanaş (10) and Adem İrtegün (16) lost their lives. (YY/BD)
