Prepared as a part of State of Emergency, Statutory Decree No. 687 has been published on the Official Gazette.
The new Statutory Decree, which includes regulations on banking, trustees, private student course centers and winter tire, lifts the broadcasting ban penalty.
Before the Statutory Decree, the TV channels were sparing equal time to each parties’ electoral propaganda and were penalized if they allocate more time to a party’s electoral propaganda. After November 1, 2015 elections, a record 580 penalties were imposed on TV channels. With the new Statutory Decree, this penalty is lifted. (NV/TK)
