A exhibition dedicated to the iconic "Star Wars" film series is making its debut at the İstanbul Cinema Museum.
The "Galaxy Fans Exhibition,” set to open on October 1, features a collection gathered over a span of 40 years, bringing the Star Wars universe to life for fans and enthusiasts.
Running alongside the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas, which first hit screens in 1977, the exhibition showcases fan-designed constructions and objects.
Within the temporary exhibition hall of the cinema museum, visitors will have the opportunity to explore more than 50 sculptures, 120 figurines, 30 full-scale armor and costumes, and even a display featuring space battleships from the films. The exhibition also includes 25 life-sized busts, colossal creature figurines, dioramas, helmets, film masks signed by actors, posters, and various pieces of unique artwork.
The exhibition, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, is putting a spotlight on fans, offering a platform for specially selected collection items from Turkey. It will offer Star Wars fans a chance to enjoy screenings of Star Wars films, film readings, and documentary viewings, among other events.
The exhibition will be open for visitors until February 1, 2024. (AÖ/VK)
