Stage actor Nazlı Masatçı staged a play on the street in support of conscientious objector İnan Ünver, who was arrested at the time, in 2010 in the western province of İzmir.
Nine years later, after the 1 year and 6 months of a prison sentence for "alienating the people from military service" was approved, she was sent to İzmir Women's Prison in 2019.
Masatçı staging her play while people hold a banner that reads, "Freedom to conscientous objector Sinan Ünver!"
Masatçı was released last night (June 26) on the condition of judicial control, her brother Orçun Masatçı announced on social media.
