The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that six soldiers lost their lives due to gunfire opened by PKK members in the Claw-Lock Operation area.
The names of the deceased soldiers announced in the morning were as follows: Infantry Second Lieutenant Fatih Uğur Altınbaş (27, Elazığ), Specialist Sergeant Kemal Özek (26, Denizli), Infantry Specialist Corporal Uğur Özdemir (29, Gaziantep), Contracted Infantry Private Mahmut Üçdağ, and Infantry Specialist Sergeant Özkan Lale (29, Sivas).
Today at noon the Ministry has made a new announcement stating that Infantry Specialist Sergeant Mustafa Sezer (28, Zonguldak) who was among those injured had lost his life.
The MSB stated that the operation conducted in the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government continues. (AS/PE)
