Roboski İçin Adalet Girişimi, an initiative to demand justice on Roboski Massacre, released a statement on the 20th month of the incident in downtown Ankara.
Speaking on behalf of the initiative, academician Can Irmak Özinanır reminded that no progress has been made on the incident investigation.
Özinanır: We will not be a part of the crime
“It is worrying to observe that thousands of people who take the streets for Egypt and Syria don’t feel the same sensitivity towards Roboski Massacre. It is also worrying for the societal peace of Turkey, as well the preservation of human values and their improvement.”
“Perhaps,” Özinanır continued, “one of the reasons why the Turkish state is unable to develop a credible and efficient attitude towards the massacres in regional countries is very much Roboski itself.”
He also added that they will continue gathering on every 28th day of the month to not become a perpetrator of Roboski Massacre and make it forgotten. (SK/HK/BM)
