The Ministry of Defense has announced that three soldiers lost their lives in the military operations in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) territory.
In the announcement made late on Saturday night (November 26) it was stated that specialized sergeant Eyyüp Uğurlu, contracted soldier Mehmet Demir and contracted soldier Hakan Köroğlu had lost their lives while two other soldiers were injured.
It was announced that specialized sergeant Mustafa Işık who was injured after a lightning strike also died.
Ministry of Defense had announced the loss of life of three soldiers in the same region in its statement made on Friday night (November 25).
Turkey in mid-April launched a new military offensive in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) territory, dubbed as the "Operation Claw-Lock," targeting the PKK.
The latest in a series of cross-border military operations against the group since 2019, the offensive focuses on the mountainous regions of Metina, Zap and Avasin-Basyan. (RT/PE/VK)
