Pınar Selek case will be discussed within the framework of current developments in politics and the judiciary in Turkey at the meeting titled "Pınar Selek case and the judiciary problems in Turkey" in Strasbourg, France.
The meeting will be organized with the initiatives of Turkey origin Citizens' Union of Associations (RACORT) and its member associations (Intercultural Citizens' Movement at Strasbourg ASTU, Turkey origin Citizens' Association at Paris, Turkish Workers Association etz'de Moselle and L'ACORT ) at the House of Unions at Strasbourg in the evening of April 18th and leaded by historian and political scientist Samim Akgönül from Strasbourg University.
Akın Atalay one of the lawyers working for Pınar Selek case , Pınar Selek's father and lawyer Alp Selek, journalist and author Oral Calislar, journalist and author Karin Karakaşlı, philosophy professor and author Zeynep Direk, Martin Pradel from FIDH, Chairman of the Human Rights Subcommittee in the EP Barbara Lochbihler and the President of the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Commission Hélène Flautre will participate in the meeting.
The meeting intends to announce the symbolic meaning of the Egyptian Bazaar's case that's on the agenda for 14 years to the public and call for solidarity. (ÇT)
