Having completed its "March for Democracy against the Coup" as part of its "Democratic Struggle Programme," the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will start the second stage at the Parliament tomorrow (July 7).
Accordingly, the party is expected to hold "Democracy Meetings" at the Parliament. The events announced by the party as part of its "Democratic Struggle Programme" will continue until September 1 World Peace Day.

As the first stage of its programme, the HDP held a march from the Kurdish-majority Hakkari province and northwestern Edirne province to the capital city of Ankara, led by its Co-Chairs. Having reached the city on June 20, the ended the first stage by reading out a declaration.

Following the HDP Central Executive Committee meeting to be held today, the second stage of the programme will be initiated at the Parliament.
As reported by the Mezopotamya Agency (MA), the HDP will say "We Come Together for the Right of Defense" ahead of the Parliamentary debate on the bill to "split bar associations." Within this context, HDP Co-Chairs Mithat Sancar and Pervin Buldan will hold a press statement tomorrow.
Theme: Peace
As part of this second stage that will continue till August, the HDP will hold "Democracy Meetings" in July. While the party "aims to lay emphasis on a discourse of democracy against the ongoing anti-democratic practices," the main theme of the meetings will be "Peace against war."
Throughout this second stage, the HDP will meet with different religious and ethnic groups, workers, intellectuals and journalists, women, ecologists and young people. Meetings will be first held on "Right of Defense", then on "Law and Human Rights", "Labor Rights", "Saying No War and Poverty", "Freedom of Peoples, Equality of Beliefs", "Justice" and "Democracy."
