Minister of Education, Mahmut Özer announced that the schools will be closed for one week until February 13 in the whole of Türkiye.
It had previously been announced that the universities in Maraş, Adana, Malatya, Adıyaman, Hatay, Urfa, Diyarbakır, Antep, Kilis, and Osmaniye were closed due to the earthquake that hit these provinces until a second notification.
School closure for one day was announced for Monday in many cities including İstanbul and Ankara due to the snow and cold last night before the earthquake.
Today was the day that the students would be returning to school from the semester holiday in the country. (EMK/PE)
