Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Şırnak MP, Faysal Sarıyıldız said, “We’ve received the information that as many as 30 people stuck in a building have been found burned to death. There is no bullet mark on their bodies” in his statement as to incident that occurred in Turkey’s southeastern Cizre district of Şırnak province.
Sarıyıldız speaking to Dicle News Agency (DİHA) said tens of people stuck in a building have been killed by state forces.
“We have the information that there are 62 people of whom most are wounded. It is certain that tens of them have been slaughtered. In fact, nine people were earlier massacred by being burned. One child was executed at the door. Bodies of those massacred were in this building as well. It comes out that the rest were executed yesterday. And now, the information that around 30 people were found burned and there was no bullet mark on their bodies has come to us”.
Turkish Armed Forces: 10 PKK members killed
According to Doğan News Agency, a conflict broke out between security forces and Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members yesterday evening, and that fire was opened from the building where reportedly wounded people have been taking shelter in its basement against security forces by rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons.
Eight PKK members have been reportedly killed.
National state TV TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Association) News claimed 60 PKK members have been killed in the conflict.
State-run Anadolu Agency reported that eight PKK members have been killed in the clash which PKK members opened fire on security forces by rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons.
10 PKK members lost their lives, and arms and ammo were seized in the conflict on Saturday, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said in its statement this morning (February 8).
Cizre State Hospital
ANF reported that Cizre State Hospital staff have been locked in a room by police and those murdered will be brought there.
Police took a large number of body bags at the morning hours today from the hospital, the report added. (AS/TK)
