Russian General Staff Spokesperson, General Sergey Rudskoy has announced that they have discovered 12,000 oil tankers on the Turkey-Iraq border.
Stating “We observe trucks transporting oil still pass through the Syria-Turkey border”, Rudskoy has noted that militants started to transfer the oil to Turkey from the North and the West at late hours in the night due to Russian air operations, and used regular trucks to disguise themselves.
According to a report of Sputnik News, Rudskoy has added to his statement the following:
“4,530 of the tankers are on the Turkish and 7,245 others are on the Iraqi side”
“On the images taken in Zaho, we have detected that there are 11,775 tankers on both sides of the turkish border. 4,530 of these were located on the Turkish side and 7,245 others were on the Iraqi side.
“Since the beginning of the operations on September 30, Russian air forces have exterminated 2,000 tankers which Syrian militant had kept hold of. In the last week of the operations, we have exterminated 17 oil tanker convoys and 37 oil drilling and processing plants.
“According to the satellite data, the number of oil tankers following the northern path and entering refinery in Batman province of Turkey has decreased considerably”.
“We have set up a multi-level intelligence system”
Serhey Rudskoy has stated that they have set up a multi-level intelligence system in Russia to locate militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and gathered by this means regular information from Syrian military and opponent forces.
Expressing that the forces of the Syrian Government have taken five regions in Halep settled by civilians back from ISIS with the support of Russian air forces, Rudskoy has noted that the control of the Jebel Noba Hill in Lazkiye and Kepir has again been taken over by the Syrian army. (EKN/DG)
