Fatih Karaca, head of the Radio and Television Higher Board (RTUK); Ramazan Er, spokesman of the Police Headquarters and deputy police chief; Ismail Caliskan, head of the Security Department of the Police Headquarters, and police and RTUK officials attended the opening ceremony.
Caliskan, who spoke during the ceremony, said they have been monitoring broadcasts on behalf of RTUK in rural areas for the last nine years. He said security personnel received training about the duty in seminars.
RTUK head Karaca said the Police Headquarters, in great self-sacrifice, cooperate with RTUK and do monitoring and recording in places RTUK could not reach and where the television watchdog does not have any facilities.
"We intend to continue the work we have been doing up to now," said Karaca. (EO/BB/EA/YE)
