The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, which also gives the Nobel Literature Prize, awarded scientist Dr. Hatice Zora with a Royal Prize for her works on the "development of language and emotions in the brain."
Zora works on brain, linguistics and neurophysics at the Stockholm University.
King Carl XVI Gustaf gave the award to Zora in a ceremony held at the Kingdom Palace. Anders Olsson, Bo Ralph, Horace Engdahl and Tomas Riad from the Academy were also present at the ceremony.

"I am honored"
Dr. Zora spoke to the state-run Anadolu Agency after receiving the award, saying, "As a Turkish academic, I am honored to receive this award which began to be given three years ago in the honor of Sweden King Carl 16. Gustaf's 70th birthday."
"The research results will contribute to our understanding of how the cognitive ability emerged and developed in humanity, to the social biology and to the psychology," she said. (HA/VK)
