Statements drawing attention to cultural heritage continue by chambers, professional associations and science circles concerning Paşa Hamamı (Pasha Turkish Bath), Yoğurt Pazarı (Yoghurt Bazaar), Surp Giragos Armenian Church, Sheikh Mutahhar Mosque damaged during conflict lasting for months and lastly Kursunlu Mosque burned.
The latest stament has come from International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) International Committee on Risk Preparedness (ICORP) Turkish National Committee.

Turkish Committee of National Science of ICOMOS ICORP functioning as Consulting Body of UNESCO World Heritage Sites has been established in an effort to protect cultural heritage against nature-made and human-made disasters.
The statement expressed its worries on historical artifacts being damaged, which are symbols of various cultures and a part of social memory, located in Sur district, the buffer zone of “Diyarbakır Fortress and Hevsel Gardens Cultural Landscape” which is one of the 15 heritage sites of Turkey in UNESCO World Heritage List.
“Within this frame, we as ICORP Turkey we are ready to provide all kinds of scientific support in preparation of a comprehensive ‘Risk Management Plan’ and training experts in this area, and damage assessment on historical constructions during emergency action to overcome this rough period by every individual and institution doing their part”.
There are 124 monumental and 410 registered civilian architectures in the region.
