The Presidency of Religious Affairs has declared that funeral won’t be held for those killed in coup attempt.
The Presidency said those taking place in the coup attempt don’t deserve “acquittal and prayers of their fellow believers” and that religious services such as funeral will not be provided to them.
The Religious Affairs noted that rights of soldiers and military staff who were “dragged into the incident forcefully and by threat, find themselves in it with no information” won’t be violated.
The Presidency didn’t explain how it will be determined whether the bodies participated in the coup willingly or dragged into it.
AKP MP hadn't allowed funeral in Ordu
Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Enver Yılmaz from the Justice and Development Party didn’t give cemetary plot to Noncommissioned Officer Nedim Şahin who was killed in coup attempt.
“Ordu is not the sort of province that embraces and keeps traitors in its soil”. (ÇT/TK)
