A delegation from Women’s Freedom Assembly (KÖM) departed to go to Cizre district of Şırnak province in southeastern Turkey. The delegation had safe conduct after the negotiations in the first checkpoint in Nusaybin district of Mardin province in southeastern Turkey and then has been going to the second checkpoint guarded by Şırnak Governorship. Another delegation from Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (KESK) is still waiting in checkpoint of Nusaybin.
Ezra Elbistan told bianet:
“We call crossroad between Nusaybin and Cizre now ‘gate’. They don’t allow people pass. They just open it for an hour every day but today it is closed. There is a queue extending 40 kilometers away.
“We don’t know if we pass the ‘gate’. We will go as long as we can do it.
"KESK group isn’t allowed to pass the first checkpoint. They are a mass. We only have one vehicle.” (ÇT/BD)
