A new puppet festival starts in Eskişehir province of Turkey on May 28 in partnership with the City Theatres of Eskisehir Metropolitan Municipality and Eskisehir Art Association.
The festival, which includes colorful and different puppet plays as well as puppet-making workshops, will start with the opening march and Puppet Parade on 28th May, Saturday, and will bring Eskişehir into a puppet theater center for 5 days.
The festival has taken place among the activities of the "Puppets of the Old City" project within the scope of the " Grant Scheme for Common Cultural Heritage: Preservation and dialogue between Turkey and the EU-II (CCH-II) implemented in cooperation with the Eskişehir Art Association, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and the Bulgarian Golden Key Foundation by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Tourism and Culture with the financial support of the European Union.
"Bence Sarkadi Theater of Marionettes" from Hungary, "Theater Trio" from Bulgaria, "Theater La Fabiola" from Italy and The "Jordi Bertran Company" from Spain, and "Theatre "T Magische Company" from the Netherlands are participating in the festival, which will take place on the stages of the City Theaters and in open spaces of the different parts of Eskişehir between the dates 28 May and 1 June.(TB)
