Probe into Kılıçdaroğlu for ‘Insulting Erdoğan’

Probe has been launched into People’s Republican Party (CHP) Chair, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for his words he spread at CHP’s 35th Ordinary Meeting aimed at President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Should a “crime” found in the prosecution to be carried out by Ankara Chief Prosecution, summary of proceedings will be issued on Kılıçdaroğlu and first referred to Ministry of Justice, then to Prime Ministry and finally to Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

An investigation will be launched into Kılıçdaroğlu in case TBMM General Assembly rules to lift parliamentary immunity of Kılıçdaroğlu.

Kılıçdaroğlu has said the followings in his speech:

“Presidents swear oath on their ‘honor and dignity’ promising to carry out their duty in impartiality. Yesterday he again picked on us. The tinpot dictator man. Now I remind again, what do honor and dignity mean to you? You will sit and account for it. If you don’t preserve your impartiality, I will remind you of honor and dignity concepts every day, every minute, every second”. (EA/TK)
