Dead body of a soldier, who was lost in flood in an armored vehicle in Saray, Tekirdağ yesterday (October 25), was found in the morning hours today. The military armored vehicle carrying four soldiers, two police officers and one civilian was drawn into water.
Three soldiers, two police officers and one civilian were saved in a short thanks to the people close to the scene running for aid. However, Sefa Parhan who was on compulsory military service couldn’t be found.
Parhan’s body was found dead 800 meters from where he went missing. The soldier reportedly didn’t know swimming.
17 days were left to his discharge
Body of Parhan who was 17 days away from his discharge was taken to a boat by search and rescue teams. It was stated that Parhan’s registered province is Turkey’s southeastern province of İzmir, and his family lives in İzmir. (PT/TK)
